Hello! My name is Jennifer Idol and I am pleased to serve as your child's 2nd grade teacher this school year.  I am originally from Greensburg, Pennsylvania and I attended Slippery Rock University in Slippery Rock, PA.  I graduated from SRU in December 2001, earning my B.S. in Elementary Education with a minor in Spanish.  This is my eleventh year as a teacher.  Prior to becoming a 2nd grade teacher, I was a full-time PRT for five years.  Prior to that, I taught kindergarten for five years.  This is my second year as a 2nd grade teacher and I enjoy it very much.  In my spare time, I love to travel.  I have been to Ireland, Costa Rica, Italy, Canada, France, the Bahamas, Scotland, and the list goes on.  I enjoy spending time with my husband, who is a kindergarten teacher, and our two-year old daughter.  She is a lot of fun to be around as she learns and discovers new things every day.
