It Is Fourth Quarter!
Kindergartners are soaring in room 500! We can read almost all of the 53 kindergarten high frequency words. Some students are already learning first grade words! With this firm foundation in place many students are beginning to read! Review flash cards each night with your student and reread three or four of the "Little Books in the Big Bag". Students are stretching their math skills to read numbers through 50 and count to 100. We are adding and subtracting and learning our shapes. Encourage your child to count, read numbers, and see shapes in their world. How many square shapes are in your home? Count socks as you do your laundry. Can they count by two's? Add with your child at dinner using food items or people at your table. Learning is all around us!
