While many of you probably know me as the crazy Tarheel fan down in Room 20 (and I can assure you that is one thing about me that will NEVER change!), others may remember me as the young mother of a kindergartner here many years ago. Both of my children, Betsy and Ben, attended school here. I felt then, as I do now, that I have a vested interest in making This year, I am thrilled and humbled to be selected as this year’s Vienna Teacher of the Year. We are truly fortunate to work in an environment where parents truly value their children’s educational experiences and lend support so that we can provide those opportunities for our students making it one of the best schools in Most of you know that I spent several years working with the well-oiled second grade team. I was nervous to leave such a tight group of excellent educators, but I have found a just as dedicated team of first grade teachers to call grade level family.
